When researching Lee County’s statistics as a whole, I learned poverty population is up to 16.1%. One of the contributing factors of the poverty percentage is unemployment rates, which is at 4.3% and has only increased during the current pandemic. Another contributing factor to poverty is the number of residents with no Highschool diploma: 13.1%. Many employers require a high school diploma now to be considered for the position. The number of residents with fair or poor physical health is 13.5% and some of the percentage is due to lack of knowledge on the resident’s behalf.

When comparing the total child overweight prevalence in the United States compared to that of Lee county, the United States is at 24.2% compared to Lee County who is slightly lower at 19.1%. The population with low food access is much higher in Lee County then compared to Florida or the United States.

Determining the resources required to help in the implementation of these interventions Understanding Lee county severity as well as the trends of unemployment is very important to help for the overall well-being of the county. This will help during the process of creating policies and interventions that will help in ending the problems facing the people in my county.
The female population are leading with the highest rate of unemployment. The percentage of unemployed women stands at 6.3 in Lee county compared to California where it is 6.01 realized that the government has tried putting in place several measures to curb this problem of employment with little or no success. Some of the interventions that have been put in place include putting in place unemployment insurance that intends to help the people who lose their jobs due to unexpected situations with financial aid. These people are also assisted on how they can get employment as fast as possible. This issue can be addressed through adding more efforts in terms of increasing the literacy level of the people which seems to be very low.
This can be done through offering education and training. For instance, in this project, Google scholar is an important tool helping in supporting the data that I have. I even realized that to Search for data through this tool is faster and simple. Additionally, using the FSW library and resources like CIHNA for literature. One easily finds useful articles for using in this study. The resources are credible offering credible articles and research data.

The community health nursing practice experience has been an essential component of my learning in the RN to BSN program at FSW State College.
