STEP ONE: Reflection on Previous Assignments


1. In reflecting on the Week 2 and Week 3 assignments, I observe that my writing aligns most closely with a persuasive essay style. This style aims to convince the reader of a particular point of view, which was my intention in these assignments. I utilized appeals to ethos, pathos, and logos to bolster my arguments and persuade my audience effectively. However, I recognize that incorporating elements from analytical and narrative essays could have enhanced my submissions. For instance, providing a more structured analysis of opposing viewpoints would have added depth to my arguments, while elements of narrative storytelling could have engaged my audience more emotionally.

STEP TWO: Combining Different Styles


1. Strengths and Uses of Summary: In my field of study, which centers around communications, the strength of summary lies in its ability to distill complex information into digestible parts. Summaries provide clarity, allowing readers to grasp key concepts without delving into extensive details (Farrington, 2020).
