The first problem is the lack of support from teachers, parents and school administrators on the full adoption of the education standards. The goals of education standards aimed to be implemented faced severe challenges, making it hard for the adoption to become successful. First, it should be noted that the education standards were aimed at establishing a single set of education for the learners who were present in the k-12 learning.
The government's education standards were designed to enable the state schools to be more eligible for the federal funding of the school. There are numerous ways in which this problem can be solved (Pak et al, 2020). First, there should be more accountability from the teachers. This will enable the teachers to be serious with teaching. Secondly, parents should be involved in the learning of the children.
Thirdly, new technologies can be adopted to improve the education standards and lastly, the curriculum can be revised, raising the education standards. The second challenge that is experienced is the different learning and comprehensive abilities of the learners. Different learners in school have different learning capabilities, which can affect how the students grasp the content which has been taught in class. More education specialist has been investigating this matter, and a solution has not been found. However, the educational professionals can provide appropriate recommendations on how the syllabus can be improved.
Also, the teachers can be taught the appropriate teaching methods that will enable them to teach the students in a much better and comprehensive manner (Whitney, 2017). Another better way in which this challenge can be solved is through the use of appropriate technologies. New technologies can improve how the students and the learners interact in the class. The new technologies should be incorporated into the new learning curriculum, and this will be able to monitor how the students grasp the content taught in class. This strategy will highly benefit the students who might have low abilities to grasp the content taught in the classroom.
Education standards have been known to be both negative and positive. Therefore, the education stakeholders, school administrators, learners and teachers should be fully aware of these educational standards before setting them. Also, the teachers and the school administrators should provide coherence and consistency when the new learning standards have been implemented (Bakken et al., 2017). It should be noted that only expert and qualified education experts should develop these standards by undertaking appropriate needs that will benefit the learners and the students. More so, the adoption of the new learning standards should be set when everything needed has been implemented, and nothing will hinder the education system in achieving the new guidelines on the education standards that will have a positive impact on the students and the education system.
