Park Place Staff Responsibilities Shelter Manager: Provides supervision and administrative support at the shelter; ensures that shelter residents are safe and that their needs are met. Shift Supervisor: Provide supervision and administrative support at the shelter under the guidance of the shelter manager, as part of the shelter management team. Residence workers: Assign residents to rooms and coordinate with Logistics or the shelter manager to procure supplies necessary for shelter dormitory.

Project Description For the project assisting Park Place with their volunteer program, we plan to use virtual platforms to connect the organization with community members. Our group tried to imagine an updated extended protocol for their volunteerism for the Park Place Project that will coincide with what they are already doing. By looking through their social media and their volunteer sign-up sheet, we could see how a virtual orientation would be beneficial. After the volunteers are accepted as staff, they can review a link to a video with a tour of the building and in-depth explanations of what needs are required of volunteers. Depending on the core values and mission of Park Place, the volunteers can choose pre-established activities that they can do with the teens there.

For example, female mentoring, virtual game night, virtual tutoring, virtual storytelling, virtual art, etc... These are basic things that can be 1-hour sessions where all teen residents who sign up and participate can share their perspectives. Workshops Female Empowerment Workshop enables ladies and young ladies through tutoring, self-love, social change, and pre-professional skills workshops that support women by associating with the everyday world in a convincing and groundbreaking way. The workshop will impact and influence young girls to see themselves in a powerful light. We intend to mold young women into future leaders while strengthening their confidence.

We want to distinguish their qualities and shortcomings and improve them. We will leave their comfort zone by incorporating exercises and progress into the significance of declaring their voices and how to do this viably. We expect to create an environment where young ladies can become leaders. Tutoring is an incredible path for children. We can enhance or improve those who are struggling with subjects.

We intend to assist with essential skills. We also plan to help improve advanced material. We investigate the fundamental barriers that children face when figuring out how to problem solve and figure out how they draw in with the material from their viewpoint. Communication skills can serve as a student speaking up when not understanding and asking questions instead of the usual "head nod" to signal that they know what was just taught to them instead of just agreeing they know the material and regret it later tutorial or class. In addition to tutoring, there are online resources available to help, for example, YouTube and Khan Academy.

This workshop will allow students to examine their past work and build up a strategy for handling their schoolwork. Each subject will include a lesson plan incorporate time management skills.
