Question

I really need some help with this if someone can do it

The cornerstones of chemistry are as follow: The role and importance of water, The movement and energy of electrons, Equilibrium's efffect on the balance of matter and energy

What I would like is to give some examples that we experiences in our daily life using this cornerstones of chemistry. e.g. The role of water: using how water is important in some chemical reaction like condensation, The movement of electrons like reducing sugar take electron from us etc. and equilibrium effect on th balance of matter and energy I do not how to connect this with energy. My instructor doesn't want to tell him what he knows. He wants me to connect chemistry to daily life. I will appreciate if some one help me with this.

Explanation / Answer

The role and importance of water:

About 60% of body made up of water. It play important role in various biological process of body. It is primary constituent of blood when people dehydrated blood volume drops. Less fluid in the body leads to cell shrink. Body removes the toxic material from body in the form of sweat or urination needs water. water maintain cells and increase metabolism, Dissolves nutrients and brings supplies to cells, Helps digestion and absorption of food and Lubricates joint movements .Water deficiency also affect on brain functions also control body temperature. Organism can live without food several days but cannot live without water more than week.

The movement and energy of electrons:

Essentially everything in everyday life is dependent upon electronic interactions Electron transfer plays a vital role in numerous biological processes, including converting energy from food into useful forms and nerve cell communication. It's also the initial step in photosynthesis, where charges are first separated and the energy is stored for later use. The chemistry of the cell also depends on the reactions of smaller molecules and ions like water and metal ions, or organic molecules movement like amino acids, which are used to synthesize proteins. Cell respiration, electron transport chain metabolism are an examples of movement of energy and molecules in the biological process.

Equilibrium's effect on the balance of matter and energy

From the environment, living organism absorbs a form of energy, which is useful to them under specific condition of pressure and temperature in which they live and return to the environment an equivalent amount of energy. Useful form of energy taken into cell called free energy and part energy return to the environment consists of heat and other form of energy

Photosynthetic process and respiration process in organism is an complementary to each others. This maintains carbon and oxygen cycle.

Living cell needs energy for all chemical reaction like cell growth, division, metabolism and survival. Unusable energy is an expression of disorder of the system, which may result of the many conversion steps inside and outside the cell. Every cell maintains equilibrium between in/out cell.
