All the solutions were separately tested with an aqueous silver nitrate solution and an ammonia solution. The results are below in tabular formExplanation / Answer
2.1 and:-
(a) BaCO3 is insoluble in water , but BaCO3 is soluble in acids except sulphuric acid.
(b) Ag2CrO4 is insoluble in water ( or sparangly soluble in water) .
(c) LiOH is Strong acid , therefore it is soluble in water.
(d) Na2SO4 is soluble in water , because Na2SO4 is a strong electrolyte , therefore it is completely dissociated into ions in aqueous solution.
(e) MgC2O4 is insoluble or sparangly soluble in water .
Note:- all strong acids and strong bases are also strong electrolytes.
The smallest amount of sparangly soluble salts which is soluble in water , gets 100% dissociated into ions , therefore we can easily calculated their solubility products i.e Ksp value.
