MAYA POPULATIONS: The Maya civilization was one among the three advanced civilizations(Aztecs,Maya and Inca)which developed before the arrival of Europeans in America.

The Maya population were mostly located in Central America and they built many cities entirely filled with stone structures. The Maya civilization is very well known for PYRAMIDS. The reason why Maya people built pyramids mostly for their gods. Compared to other civilizations the Maya where the only ones who excelled in written language, mathematics, architecture and astronomy.

The Bay area of California has been shaped by many historical events. Although there is no exact information when the Maya population started to come into Bay area. Before this place was used only for hunting and settlement and Yelamu tribe people are considered as the rightful owners of the Bay area.

The Mayan speaking population have mostly existed in MESOAMERICAN region, which is basically Mexico and Central America. The study of maya population maybe classified into historical anthropology by which cultural studies are carried out using historical methods. The study about Maya populations are relevant in anthropology class because we need to study the Maya civilization historically.

The common point for debate among archeologists about the significanct role of population in cultural evolution. famous anthropologist CHARLES WAGELY has argued that the native culture have considerable influence on American civilization.
