Investment scenario in Turkey had been on the rise since 2007. This has been mainly because of economic reforms in the nation, especially banking reforms. This safe banking system had led to a fairly stable market and had encouraged a lot of worldwide investment. However, in the last few years this has slowed down considerably due to changes in economic and political environment.

Generally, US investment in Turkey has been relaively weak due the above mentioned reasons. However, investment in Turkey carries both pros and cons. The main pros of the nation is that the workforce is fairly educated and infrastructure is the nation is investment friendly. Also, the consumption of finished goods in Turkey is high which makes it a favorable market. Also, it has a relatively liberal legal policies which may attract foreign direct investment. On the other hand, its unstable political environment is not very investment friendly.

So, if there are some economic and political reforms that lead to liberalization of the economy in addition to improving the skills of the workforce further in Turkey then it is likely to improve investment in the nation.
