Question
Men especially the white men to some extent viewed themselves as victim of reverse discrimination for a long time though the world does not consider them as victims. People tend to believe that men have so many privileges in life as compared to women and that there are so many laws protecting their rights but this is not the case. The white man have laws that limit them from positions of power and most of the men are discriminated when it comes to employment opportunities. There are always slots in most organizations that are left for women but there are none that are set aside for men in most cases. Women and Non-white races are offered jobs than men who have better qualification. The non-white races and the women receive many scholarship opportunity without any or with very little consideration on the white men. The white men are therefore feeling oppressed and discriminated with the argument that the other factions are being protected against the white man. The white man who used to oppress the others is long gone and the numerous laws that are put in place to favor the other factions are only creating reverse discrimination against the white man who everyone thinks is much superior.

Reverse discrimination is the discrimination against the members of the majority group in favour of the historically disadvantaged or the members of the minority group. This reverse discrimination is used to solve the problem of social discrimination faced by the minority group in the past like Black Americans which had less access to the privileges enjoyed by the members of the majority like white Americans. Since the America has a history in which blacks has been oppressed by the whites now these black people are claiming special status and reserving themselves for the privileges. For these reasons the blacks as well as women are getting preferences in admissions in colleges or jobs. The people are not given chances in colleges or jobs on their ability and qualification but on the basis of gender or races. This makes the white people feel oppressed. So it is justified that white man are facing the reverse discrimination.
