Answer:
Reynolds number is the unit less quantity which defines the flow of fluid, if Reynolds number is less than 2000 then flow would be laminar and if it greater than 2000 then it would be turbulent. It is basically ratio of inertial force and viscous force.
It can be calculated by following formula;
R= p *D*V/ u
Where, p = density of fluid
D = Diameter of flow pipe
V= velocity of fluid
u = viscosity of fluid
Hence, according to above approach first image shows laminar flow therefore its Reynolds number would be less than 2000.
And , second image shows turbulent flow, therefore its Reynolds number would be greater than 2000.
