Explanation / Answer

HEALTH CARE PROVIDERS VIEW REGARDING QUALITY OF MEDICAL CARE

REASON-/- Health care providers or organisations continuously strive to improve the kind of care that they provide to improve the quality of medical care.

There are six dimensions of health care quality

1) Safety

Safety is the first thing that people hears when they think of quality improvement. Safety is fundamental for providing health care, Safety insures that the treatment given does not harm the patients

2) Equity

Equity is all about fairness, although everyone should be treated the same. Historically we know that there are some groups which receive poor health care than others. National data can be used to compare the rates of treatment by race or gender.

3) Effectiveness

Effectiveness refers to how well the treatments are being carried out compared to how they were designed.

It looks at the potential gap between how things were intended to happen and how they are actually being done

4) Efficiency

Efficiency explores the resources of waste.

Waste arises when resources are used without having added benefits. Waste is a driving factor and excessive health care cost.

Research in this area tries to discover when an expensive procedure creates better health outcomes and when outcomes are the same regardless of whether the expensive procedure is done. Efficiency is all about giving the best outcome, with few amount of input

5) Timeliness

This is made out of two parts

A) Access- can the patient access the care that she needs, are there financial social or other barriers to her excessing care?

B) System responsiveness- Is the hospital or the organisation get the treatment to the patients fast enough, does long waits in emergency departments cause unnecessary delay in an urgent surgery?.. This would be a timeliness gap neither the problems accessing care nor time delays in receiving treatment should result in a negatively patient outcome. These are timeliness concern .

Timeliness is a dimension that can be evaluated using objective and subjective assesments

6) Patient Centeredniss

Health care should be centered on the patients, more often than not treatment plans involves options, allowing the patients to explore the options available , and also choose a treatment plan that works best for them.

In modern health care, the ends do not always justify the means if patients experiences involves excessive pain or suffering

GOVERNMENT VIEW REGARDING QUALITY OF MEDICAL CARE

REASON-/- Government view regarding quality of medical care really differs from place to place, say for eg like in India it's constitution guarantees free health care for all its citizens but in practise the private health care sector is a response for the majority of health care in India and most health care expenses are paid by patients and their families rather than through insurance

3) PATIENTS VIEW REGARDING QUALITY OF MEDICAL CARE

This obviously differs from patients to patients.

Say for eg

A) There are some satisfied patients towards the quality of medical care. This may be due to various different reasons.

B) On the other hand, there are also unsatisfied patients

towards the quality of medical care , due to various different types of factors

HOW DO THESE THREE VIEWS INTERACT ? PROVIDE EXAMPLES OF TYPES OF CARE THAT WOULD BE CONSIDERED QUALITY OF MEDICAL CARE FROM EACH POINT OF VIEW

REASON-/- These there's views interact with each other in their own ways, say for eg like the health care provides view regarding quality of medical care has got 6 dimensions like the safety, equity, effectiveness, effeciency

Timeliness , patient-centeredness which ensures in giving beter quality of every possible means for the improvement of health care.
