Granite is a felsic intrusive rock which must be from mountains. Igneous Intrusion of lava is caused by volcanoes. Once erupts, they get cooled to form rocks of igneous type. Shale is formed by Deposition of particles by floods and over time and temperature these sediments became a rock called shale. So shale must have been from sedimentary rock. Schist is from volcanoes as the rocks present in the volcano are subjected to high heat and pressure eventually turning into metamorphic rocks.
