You have decided to open your own business, a store selling used textbooks to local college students. In order to get started, you decide to investigate your local Small Business Development Center, (SBDC), and find that it is located at the College of DuPage! Selling is not a normal thing. Normally, any manufacturer or doing the product promotion following a proper strategy for getting a huge selling among the public.
Here the product is the sale of textbooks so it belongs to Education Department. I would like to investigate about this product sale in before starting the business. Normally, each student needs to have textbooks so they need to purchase a new one with high value. If we offer any used textbooks to students then everyone prefers the old one with a nominal economic price.
College of DuPage(COD) students prefer to take the used textbooks. It’s confirmed. However, how will we get the old textbooks from the students? The important factor here is to get the used textbooks from students and offer the same textbooks with nominal profit to students. So, we need to purchase from students and sell with little profit to students.
Once we have prepared to gather the old textbooks then the question arises where do we need to sell the same to students? If we arranged a shop in outside or inside of campus of COD then the profit will not sufficient to me so I will approach the COD management and request them to add a TAB or LINK.
If the management is considered my plea then they will add my business in COD website under SBDC.
Once it is added the TAB or LINK then I will enhance the feature of selling and purchase used textbooks in a website.
I requested to all of the students to access the COD website and register them under the SBDC in Business section to enroll their books. Once I collected all the books from the students then I will sell to the new students to the class with a little amount of profit.
