Question: DO HYBRID CARS REALLY HELP THE ENVIRONMENT?
Answer: YES
Generally hybrid cars are often praised for their fuel efficient nature and they are very good for the environment. Hybrid cars offer the owner to charge their cars from 120 volt power source and when fully charged these cars run on their electric motor and gasoline engines for backup.
As we all know that hybrid cars do consist two engines, one electric motor engine and the other gas engine. But unfortunately most people are not using electric engine because of their slow speed nature.
Three arguments in support:
1. Are Hybrid cars environmentally friendly? Yes they are 100% compared to other cars in market at present. Their Environment friendly nature is the biggest advantage of choosing hybrid car over gasoline car.
2. What financial benefits do hybrid cars have? Hybrid cars now a day are been encouraged by many credits and incentives which make them easily affordable. It also helps us to save our money as this electric charge of car is very cheap compared to gasoline charges.
3. Fossil fuels dependence? No by switching to pollution free and Environment friendly hybrid cars we no longer need to worry about existence of ordinary fossil fuels. Directly or indirectly increase in the usage of hybrid cars can really help to reduce the prices of gasoline in market.
Three arguments in opposition:
1. Higher resale value? NO. I don't think so. The profit margin would be not much as many think. People who can afford hybrid cars are going for brand new one even though hybrid cars are expensive compared to gasoline cars.
2. Lower maintanence cost? No. It's totally different than we assume. The dual engine presence and developed technology can make it really difficult and expensive to repair. I can challenge that it would be really tough to find a expertise mechanic.
3. One more important thing is that we just shouldn't purchase hybrid cars by listening to other people, but you personally should know about the importance of hybrid cars and know the benefits to environment.
After considering these arguments it would be a real challenge to go for hybrid car or not. It's not just the desire to be environmentally friendly sufficient to go for hybrid cars but also many things are to be taken into accordance like resources and maintanence in ones area. In my opinion I would think it is high time and we need to switch for hybrid cars because of less emission gases because global warming has become a huge concern for our mother earth.
