It makes people very anxious to get the result of HIV test. And people get sigh of relief when the result comes as negative. It can create a great impact on the sexual behaviour of the couple. Many studies have shown that, the couples start preventing from sexual risk behaviour and indulge in abstinence. Use of condoms increases with the knowledge gained post counselling.

Antibodies can take one to six months to develop after exposure to HIV. The rapid production makes the person become more anxious and try to avoid indulging in sexual activity. Avoiding sex partners and refrain from sexual act. And becomes so curious and arises number of questions to the counsellor.
