These drugs are used as anti hypertensives as it acts on that larger blood vessels and work effectively against blood vessel stiffness, thus reducing systolic blood pressure.

There three types of beta receptors like beta 1 adrenergic receptor, beta 2 adrenergic receptor, beta 3 adrenergic receptor which acts on different areas. Beta 1 adrenergic receptors are located mainly in.
