What process would you use to report Peter’s difficulty in hanging out sheets and towels?
What issues could be impacting on Peter’s health and wellbeing and why?
What support strategies or resources need to be implemented to ensure Peter can remain living as independently as possible?
Explanation / Answer
Peter’s abilities are become limiting because of a neurological disease called Parkinson's disease. It is mostly observed in elderly people. It is characterized by the formation of Lewy Bodies in the substantia nigra and it leads to no longer production of dopamine in substantia nigra.
Due to the dopamine lack of production can affect the overall muscle movement. So in this situation the Peter was unable to perform his task. He can't lift his towel and sheet because of rigidity of muscle. Here patient can't perform the two activities simultaneously. Worker must promote Peter by providing support like chairs stools or some other support materials like sticks. She must encourage patient to do activity slowly irrespective of time but don't hurry burry in the activity that may result in emotional stress and tension.
Here healthy lifestyle means how patient respond to the overall treatment. Our Moto here is that patient performed his daily activity without involvement of third person. Whatever support we provide him is acts as new light in his life but we recommend him not to depend on support, carry out activity on your own.
If we see his history, he is very old and alone person and in that he is suffered from major disease which gives him lot of tension and stress to performed daily task. Here we support him is nothing but the ethical also because we are raising confidence in such patient who lose hope for life and who want nothing more than that. It is the self respect also because whenever we are giving such treatment out image become more firm and well compare to others.
