Explanation / Answer
2) The trait is transmitted in autosomal recessive pattern. II-1 is having the dusease, but both of the parents are normal. So, they both (parents) are heterozygous. Similarly, III-3 is having the disease and so II-5 and II-6 are heterozygous. So, heterozygous individuals are I-1, I-2, II-5 and II-6.
3) The trait is inherited as a X linked recessive trait. So, the carriers are only females. II-2 is affected. So, I-2 will be a carrier. Similarly IV-2 is affected and III-2 is carrier. So, the carriers if this X linked trait are I-2 and III-2.
