For the circuit shown in the drawing, R1 = 370 ? and R2 = 650 ?.

(a) Find the rms current provided by the generator when the frequency is very large.
__________A

(b) Find the rms current provided by the generator when the frequency is very small.
___________A

For the circuit shown in the drawing, R1 = 370 ? and R2 = 650 ?. (a) Find the rms current provided by the generator when the frequency is very large. __________A (b) Find the rms current provided by the generator when the frequency is very small. ___________A

Explanation / Answer

I'm guessing that the circuit has a series arm of 370 ohms and 1.8 micro Farads followed by a shunt arm of 650 ohms in series with 5.1 MilliHenries. Without doing the math, at low frequencies (b) , the cap blocks the voltage so the out put is zero. At high frequencies (a), the cap is a low impedance and the inductor in the shunt arm is a high impedance so the output should be almost the same as the input (75 V).
