Ecosystem is a interaction of biotic factor with itself and with environment. Biotic factors involve plant and animal species. Healthy ecosystem depend on avalability of plant and animal speciesas their foundations. When a species become endangered, signs that our ecosystem slowly falling apart. Each species that is lost trigger the loss of another species within its ecosystem because it affect food web that is made up of food chain. Therefore, prevention of endangered species is necessary to maintain biodiversity means variability of plant and animal species as it has many benefits
1) maintain healthy ecosystem
2) medicine many plants have medicinal properties. Due to habitat loss only 5% plant species are left with medicinal property
3) Asthetic/ recreational : it helps to maintain beauty of nature that boost tourism in particular area. To maintain travel industry, human have to maintain biodiversity
4) agriculture: many wild relative are require for the growth of the disease resistant crop. So farmer prefer to maitain wildlife environment near their farm for proper productivity.
2) Prevention of endangered species is necessary to maintain food chain and food web , a dynamic process within ecosystem and affected by wide variety of biotic and abiotic factors. The removel of one species from food web will obiviously have impact on all the other species within that web. For example extinction of tasmanian tiger increase the abundance of its prey such as tasmanian pademeln and competition. Wolves are also a top predator, extinction of this will lead to disturbamce of more diverse ecosystem. So change in abundance of particular species has affected distribution and abundance of another species of plant , animal and fungi. Therefore, conservation of species require for beauty of nature, to maintain food chain & web and overall ti maintain healthy ecosystem.
