Starch is the substance on skin which reacts with the iodine in bond paper giving the color as black or brown. Iodine is also used to do the confirmatory test of presence of starch.

Palm has more number of sweat glands. The more number of sweat glands on the palm helps in the control of temperature of body know as thermoregulation.
