For the ring in each position shown here, state whether or not a current is induced in the ring, and, if so, in which direction. Consider one ring/situation at a time, as if none of the other rings exist. Be able to explain your decision in each case. Assume that |B1|=|B2| and both are uniform and unchanging in their (respective) areas. In the diagram ignoring rings 3, 4 and 5. Ring 1 is moving downwards (towards bottom of page) at a constant speed. Ring 2 is stationary. Is there a current induced in ring 2, and, if so, in which direction. Explain yourself.
