In the case of non-ruminant (chicken and pork) and ruminant (lamb and beef) livestock, processes covered include breeding, feed production, fertiliser use, farm/broiler energy use including heating, as well as transport, processing at the slaughterhouse and refrigeration to the regional distribution centre.Methane is the main source of emission for non ruminants . 1:- We never really understand the things that happen before they actually get into the hands of humans . Like we just consume the food available for us but never really get into the thought as to what are the procedures involved for this . As we know commonly that for cultivation, fertilizers will be used by every farmers . But apart from this we never knew about the things involved while processing .
2:- Yes , but no one used to have a look at it .. Ecological impact is on the other side but people forget that it may even be the reason for the impacts it may have on humans as considering the things involved while production and processing.
3:- Thing that surprises me a lot is the fact that every one usually knows about it , using a chemical fertilizer can harm us in future . But no one really care about these procedures involved.
