Calculate: b the value of the lorque when the B teld is perpendicular to the plane of the loop as shown in the figure. e) when B is on the plane of Ans, 12900 V, Hb00. e) 223 Nm

magnetic flux = N*B*A*coswt

emf = rate of change in flux

e = N*B*A*w*sinwt

emax = N*B*A*w

emax = 310*0.8*0.15*2*pi*55 = 12856 V = 12900 V

magnetic moment mue = N*I*A

magnetic field = B

torque = mue*B*sintheta

theta = angle between normal to the area and magnetic field

B is perepeniclar to plane ( parallel to normal to plane) theta = 0

torque = N*I*A*B*sin0 = 0   <<<----answer

B is parallel to plane ( perpendicular to normal to plane) theta = 90

torque = N*I*A*B*sin90

torque = 310*6*0.15*0.8*sin90 = 223 Nm <<<----answer
