Note: Right click the URL and then click on open in a new tab.
Click on Begin
Then click on Masses
Set the mass of the Hover Puck, M, at 500 grams. Use this mass for all determinations..
Set the mass of the hanging mass.
When the mass of the Hover Puck and mass of the hanging mass has been set click Return
The force that is applied to the Hover Puck is from the hanging mass being acted on by gravity, so that F = m.g, where m is the hanging mass in kg and g is the acceleration due to gravity, 9.8 m/s2. Remember that the mass must be in kg for this calculation.
Five runs will be completed using the five hanging mass values in the Table.
Calculate the Force applied (mg) and record it in column (2) of the data sheet.
Record the time for the Hover Puck to travel 1.00 m in column (3) of the data sheet.
Calculate the average velocity of the Hover Puck using Vave = 1.00 m/t, and record it in column (4) of the data sheet.
Calculate the final velocity of the Hover Puck using the relationship Vfinal = 2 Vave and record it in Column (5) of the data sheet.
Calculate the acceleration of the Hover Puck by dividing the Vf by the time and record it in column (6) of the data sheet.
Calculate the acceleration of the Hover Puck + hanging mass using a = F/(M + m) and record it in column (7) of the data sheet. (This assumes a coefficient of friction = 0)

Explanation / Answer
if you have only problem with time elapsed in the Url it self it shows the time required to reach different distances.
how ever we need to note down the time required to down 1meter distance.
if you want to calculate with formulas first we have to measure the common accleration using newton laws.
apply newton law for hoverpuck m1a=T
for hanging mass W-T=m2a
solving these two equations gives accelration and we know distance to cover use kinematic equations to get time.
