Question

If you used a single styrofoam cup instead of 2, how would you expect the graph of the mass of liquid nitrogen versus time to change during your specific heat measurement of Aluminum?

A.) the change in extrapolated mass between the first and third segments of data (i.e slow-cool regions) increases

B.) The slope would become more negative over the whole time interval

C.) the change in the extrapolated mass between the first and third segments of data (i.e the slow cool regions) decreases.

D.) The slope would become less negative over the whole time interval

E.) the time interval of the fast-cool region decreases

Explanation / Answer

Here as per i think since instead of using two cups we are using a sincle cup so it won't cool very last and so in slow cooling region the mass change will not be very much and thus option c is correct and also E Should also be true since there won't be long time in which fast cooling takes place.
