The morphology of the midshipmanfish comprises of the various types.The Type I territorial males are posessed with the vocalizations which are connected with paired muscles in the swimming bladder to attract females,On the other hadrh the type II males usually posess the larger reproductive organs and the Type II males are able to move into nests as they look similar to the females and fertilize laid eggs.

.As far as the dendrites are concerned there are expansive dendritic and axonal arbors which are present in the vocal pacemaker neuron.The cells have v ery large somatic openings .
