You need to separate these into components Team 1 - its angle is 157degrees.    x-component = cos 157 * 35km =-32.2km    y-component = sin 157 * 35km = 13.68km Team 2 - its angle is 57 degrees    x-component = cos 57 * 35km = 19.06km    y-component = sin 57 * 35km = 29.35km The difference in its x direction is 51.26km The difference in its y direction is 15.67km To find the distance away, use the pythagorean theorem to findthe distance.
