Question

I just got the answer for my question, but I am not so sure. Please double check for me! Three balls of different masses are thrown straight upwardwith initial speeds as indicated: Ball A: initial speed is 10 m/s, mass is 1.0 kg Ball B: initial speed is 15 m/s, mass is 1.5 kg Ball C: initial speed is 3 m/s, mass is 0.8 kg a) From fastest to slowest, rank the speeds of the balls 1safter being thrown. b) From greatest to least, rank the accelerations of the balls1s after being thrown.(Or are the accelerations the same). I gotthe answer from Watt(MNK) Oracle for question a is: B, A, C. I tried myself and got the answer in order is : C, B, A (byusing the formular: V=Vo + at). Please explain Thank you! Explanation / Answer

a) B,A,C. Thinking of it conceptually it makessense. The slowing down of the balls is independent of theirmasses. They are all decelerating by the acceleration ofgravity, which is a constant. So the one that starts with theleast velocity has to have the least velocity 1s later and soon. b) they all have the same acceleration, which isgravity. Deceleration in this case...
