Q.No.1 Ans :As per AISC specification, according to Table J 2.4 ,for a steel palte thickness of 3/4 in,the minimum size of fillet weld is 1/4 in.It is also menstioned so many times in the book "Design Examples" version 14.1 while solving problems.
Minimum fillet weld sizes:-
1/4 < T is less than or equal to 1/2
