Question

A vertical spring, k= 305N/m, vibrates with amplitude of 28cm when.26kg hangs from it. The mass passes through the equilibrium point, (y=0) withpositive velocity at t=0. (a) What equation describes the motion as a function oftime? (b) At what times will the spring have its maximum and minimumextensions?
Thanks :) The mass passes through the equilibrium point, (y=0) withpositive velocity at t=0. (a) What equation describes the motion as a function oftime? (b) At what times will the spring have its maximum and minimumextensions?

Explanation / Answer

Thank you so much for your help, I understand it all except for one thing. In the end you add Tn to find the max. and min., why is that?
