Question

Here is the problem: The speed of ocean waves (v) (in m/s)depends on their wavelength (in meters) and the strength ofgravity g (in m/s2) in this way:
v = K p gq
Where K is a dimensionless constant.

A. By Dimensional Analysis you can determine p and q. Write theexpression for the speed :(You may use the symbols K for theconstant; L for ; and g for strength of gravity. Do not usev, p or q in your expression.)

I had plugged in K((L^1/2)((L/T^2)^1/2)) and this equation workedwhen I solved for the v in the second part of this problem; but theanswer was marked as incorrect.
Have I done something wrong with the format? Are the p and qcorrect?

Explanation / Answer

I re-entered the response and got the right answer. Basically, Ihad the format screwed up but the intended answer was initiallycorrect.
