A quarter has a diameter of 2.4cm. How far would it befrom your eye if it had the same angular diameter as the sun(as seen from the earth)? The radius of the sun is7×108m and it is 1.5×1011m fromthe earth. I don't understand this question....can you please helpme?

Angular displacement = diameter of sun / distanceof the sun from earth                                    = 2 * radius / ( 1.5 * 10 ^ 11 m )                                   = ( 2 * 7 * 10 ^ 8 m ) / ( 1.5 * 10 ^ 11 m )                                   = 9.33333333 * 10 ^ -3 rad diameter of quarter d = 2.4 cm angular displacement of quater = d / distance ofthe quater from eye So, distance of the quarter from eye = d /                                                        = 257.142 cm                                                        =2.57142 m
