Question
I need some help with the second part of this question:A transformer consists of 275 primary windings and 834secondary windings.
a) If the potential difference across the primary coil is25.0V, what is the voltage across the secondary coil? b) If the potential difference across the primary coil is25.0V, what is the effective load resistance of the secondary coilif it is connected across a 125 resistor?
I worked out the problem and got a) 75.8 V b) 0.305
My answer for b is incorrect, how do I find the effective loadresistance of a wire???

Explanation / Answer
Given : The resistance R = ( V1/V2 ) ( N2 / N1)2 = ( 25 / 75.8 ) ( 835 / 275 )2 = 3.033 the effective load resistance of the secondary coil ifit is connected across a 125 resistor 1/R = 1/125 + 1/3.033 = ------ Solve it I hope it helps you1/R = 1/125 + 1/3.033 = ------ Solve it I hope it helps you
