Question
Paul Broca , a noted scientist and founder of the Anthropological Society in France, once wrote in the 1870’s:
“We might ask if the small size of the female brain depends exclusively upon the small size of her body….But we must not forget that women are, on the average, a little less intelligent than men, a difference which we should not exaggerate but which is, nonetheless, real. We are therefore permitted to suppose that the relatively small size of the female brain depends in part upon her physical inferiority and in part upon her intellectual inferiority.”
Analyze this statement with regard to the logical fallacies it may contain. Be as specific as possible.
Explanation / Answer
This theory conflict with natural selection theory. Once cannot decide superiority basing on the size of the brain.
It has found that gorillas brains are of same size of large number of women, when compared to males, who has large size brains, there resembles close to children, females are considered to be less or inferior forms in when compared in human evolution.
However studies has shown that females has inconsistency, lack logically thinking, fickleness and cannot able to reason. But we can also find few superior women which are few in number. Who are far better those men.
But few scientist argue that if this is real and women are less superior to men, then natural selection theory must be wrong, since women has been passing on through generation like men, overcoming all other species. If females are weak and inferior then females should be extent by now. Basing on natural selection itself we can deny this theory,
