Question

Please look at the circuit at the top of the image. I have an ac series circuit with 400Vrms source, frequency unknown, 1.5 ohm resistor, and an inductive load with impedance of 10+j2 ohms. I know that the inductor impedance of 10+j2 equates to 10.198/_11.31 degrees (the symbol between 10.198 and 11.31 is supposed to represent the phasor symbol for the complex form). I need to know the frequency of the voltage source. I need to know what the actual inductor value would be in Henry's so that I can build the circuit using Multisim. If you need further information please let me know.

Explanation / Answer

v=Vp Sin (2*pi*f*t) 0.707=440sinx2x3.14xfxt where t =1/f
