Explanation / Answer

1. Design intent is a parameter on which depends the basis for design of a particular part and how it behaves when dimensions and design are modified. An examples of a design intent is the creation of a hole in a block.

2. Morphological analysis is a means of exploring all solutions to a multidimensional non quantified problem. For eg, artwork can be created by varying many possible parameters- ink, colours and canvas.

3. Failure Mode Effects Analysis is a step by step approach to identify possible failures and their modes in a manufacturing process, or a product. For eg, a bank uses FMEA to identify failure modes when an ATM does not work- when no cash is available, when it dispenses too much cash, or breaks down.

4. Design model is an object model describing the realization of use cases and encompasses the instructional model and its source code. It documents the design of the software system.

5. Analysis model is a graphical model which uses text and diagrams to depict requirements for data, function and behaviour of a software system.

6. Parametric design is an algorithm based approach to enable the use of parameters and rules, that define the relationship between design intent and design respnse. For eg, during building a structure, parametric design is required for better appearance.
