Question

Can someone solve the following problems for me? IGNORE PROBLRM #7

Given a circuit, shown below for t 0 assuming that the switch is closed at t = 0. Additionally, determine the final value of the voltage across the capacitor (i.e. steady state value ... as t rightarrow infinity). Implement/Simulate the circuit in the above in MULTISIM. Replace the voltage sources depicted in the above circuit with an equivalent pulse voltage source. Perform a transient analysis with the switch closed and deduce/measure the rise time of the circuit by making use of the cursors. Submit a screen shot of your simulation (showing the circuit, Grapher View and measurements/cursors). Your name should appear on the circuit .Compare the measured rise time to the one that you calculated/found in problem 6. For the circuit below: Given the following Cartesian/Rectangular form of impedances:

Explanation / Answer

using thevenin's theorem the circuit can be simplified to normal RC circuit

Vth=(R1+R5)/(R1+R5+R6) *V1    [V2 and V3 cancels out]

      =(7/13) *12 V

       =6.46V

Rth=R2+[R6||(R1+R4)]

     90+5*8/(5+8) kOhm

    =93.08 kOhm

For RC circuit

time constant=RC=93.08 k*250 *10^-6=23.27sec

rise time=1.386*Time constant=32.25 s

Voltage across capacitor at T->infinite is -6.46V

8)1/z1=11+22j/sqrt(11^2+22^2)=0.447+0.89j

1/z2=9-14j/sqrt(9^2+14^2)=0.54-0.84j

1/z1+1/z2=0.987+0.05j

1/(1/z1+1/z2)=0.987-0.05j/sqrt(0.987^2+0.05^2)=0.999-0.05j

zs=z3+z4=12-24j+25+17j

    =37-7j
