Question

I tried to upload an image but wasn't successful so I'll try and describe the circuit as best as I can. The 1st voltage source 3 cos 2t is in parallel with a 4 ohm resistor which is in parallel with the 2nd voltage source of 4 cos 5t. There is a 3 henry inductor in series with the 1st source and a 1 henry in series with the 2nd source. I am looking for the voltage rms value of each source along with the frequency of each source. ________3H_____________1H_______ | | | | | | 3cos2t V 4 ohm 4 cos 5t V | | | | | | -------------------------------------------------------

Explanation / Answer

rms of first source=3/sqrt(2)=2.1213 V

frequency=2/(2*pi)=1/pi Hz

rms value of second source=4/sqrt(2)=2.818 V

frequency=5/(2*pi)=2.5/pi Hz
