The dephosphorylation of phosphocreatine, like that of ATP, is a highly exergonic reaction G°, =-10.3 kcal/mol: Phosphocreatine + H2O creatine + Pi Go' =-10.3 kcal/mol: ATP H20 ADP + Pi -7.6 kcal/mol: A. Write a an overall reaction for the transfer of phosphate from phosphocreatine to ADP to generate creatine and ATP B. Calculate AGo' for phosphorylation of ADP by phosphocreatine.

G°transfer = G°donor - G°acceptor
= -10.3 -(-7.6) = -10.3 + 7.6 = -2.7 kcal/mol
