(a) Rotational inertia of the cylinder about the axis is m*r^2 / 2 + m*d^2 = 19*0.25^2 / 2 + 19*0.14^2 = 0.966 kgm^2
(b) Potential energy initially = kinetic energy finally. So, m*g*h = 0.5*m*v^2 . So, v = (2*9.81*0.14)^1/2 = 1.66m/s
So, angular velocity of the cylinder about this axis is w = v/d = 1.66 / 0.14 = 11.84 rad/s
