Question
In a smith chart ruler every dash in wavelength toward the ganerater is equal to how much? I mean there are 6 dashes between 2 point each dash is equal to how much? Also same question for the SWR and the reflection coefficient?
I know that each dash between 2 angular degrees is equal to 2, right?
I hope someone can understand my point. In a smith chart ruler every dash in wavelength toward the ganerater is equal to how much? I mean there are 6 dashes between 2 point each dash is equal to how much?

Explanation / Answer
1) Each and every dash on the smith chart wavelength is equal to 0.01/5 = 0.002 (Note two points on the chart are divided into five equal parts)
2) In smith chart for SWR and reflection coeffient, if you observe the reading split is not even(We cannot tell the value of each dash as spacing is not constant) --- thats why we find them by plotting the impedence normalized values and find the points on VSWR and reflection coffiecient cutting through the rulers.
3)For angular degrees --- yes each dash is equal to = 2 degrees
Hope you understood!
