Show me ur work
The diagram shows a very simple circuit. The power "in" the battery is It and the power "in" the resistor is a power always refers to a rate of conversion of one form of energy to another form. What energy conversion is occurring in the battery (from what form to what other form)? What energy conversion is occurring in the resistor? a circuit containing a capacitor is shown. The switch is initially open and the capacitor is initially uncharged. Describe what happens to the voltage difference across the capacitor after the switch is closed Explain.Explanation / Answer
Ans to S1 =
In the battery, energy is stored in the form of chemical energy. and this chemical energy is converted to electrical energy .
now, in the resistor, curent is flowing. which is having electrical energy. and is converted to heat energy .
Ans to S2.
as switch is open initialy, there is no voltage across the capacitor, as you close the switch connection will bi completed and battery will send the current . but the voltage across the capacitor will not be instantaneously equal to the voltage across the battery. because the capacitor opposes the sudden change in voltage across it . as the time goes on charg will pas through capacitor and voltage will be developed across it
