Question

I tried to solve the problem using pythagorean theorem, but it didn't work. The distance of the object (O) is 11.4 m from the mirror and Jon Doe is standing 15.2 meters to the right. Can someone help me with part B, please?

The lines in the figure are 1.9 m apart. John Doe stands on the same horizontal line as object O, but on the right side of the figure. If John is as far as possible from O while still being able to see its image in the mirror: How far is he from O? m How far behind the mirror does he see the image of O? m

Explanation / Answer

so its a plane mirror so he will apear the same distance behind as he is in front.. so he is 11.4 away on the y axis so he would be 11.4 behind
