Question
Can someone please interpret these results?
The top left side is our proteins in each lane with peak area and the top right side is our actual immunoblot from the SDS-PAGE gel that had the first lane was blank, the second lane was our standard, the third lane was mitochondria protein, the fourth lane was soluble protein, the fifth lane was nuclear protein and the sixth lane was crude proteins. The bottom left is our coomasie stain. The bottom right is our ponceau stain.
Thank you

We can infer from these observations that band 6 is the darkest implying the abundance of protein in Lane 6 (crude proteins), here Comassie stain must have been used for Western Blot Normalisation i.e. compare the relative abundance of specific protein in each sample. Comassie is a dye that binds to Aromatic and Basic amino acids. Hence their abundance in mitochondria over nuclear proteins indicate that more such proteins with aromatic and basic amino acids are present in nucleus compared to Mitochondria.
