Question

Collect data or information on electromagnetic interference on pacemakers, either the external type or internal type or ICDs. Hint: The interference may come from cell phones, CB radios, microwave ovens, or x-ray machines (in hospitals and/or airports). Please fill at least 3/4 of a page. Explanation / Answer

Modern life exposes us to increasing number of potencial sources of Electromagnetic interference. All modern pacemakers are adequately shielded from microwave energy produced by modern appliences.

Pacemakers are technically challenging devices. But they effect many internal and external factors.Patients with pacemakers must be careful because any environmental factors may effect with pacemaker function, patients with pacemaker are at high risk,so they must be catious of that.

There are many sources of electromagnetic interfence on pacemakers.Magnetic resonance imaging creates areal problem, and it has to be avoided in pacemaker patients.Celluar phones are also responsible for electromagnetis interference when they kept on the same side of the pacemaker.
