Everything people do in their daily lives involves the consumption of resources—particularly energy. With respect to energy, electricity is one of the most important resources consumed and also one of the highest in demand. Traditionally, fossil fuels such as coal, natural gas, and oil have dominated the U.S. energy mix; however, as it is well-known, carbon-emitting energy sources are very detrimental to the environment and are contributing to global warming. Fortunately, alternative energy resources such as solar, wind, hydro, and geothermal power are becoming more efficient and prevalent in today’s energy economy.

answer- Lab Report

Purpose- Purpose of thislab report is to determination of pollutant that is being generated by these coal and nuclear plant and also introduce the ancident occured due to its exposure.

Introduction- In our study 4 coal plant and 4 Nuclear plant of a region is studied. In under investigation it is found the large amount of pollutant is being generated and it causes several incident.

In coal plant 1 where Co2 emisson is 1.5 million ton and sulfer dioxide and other pollutant emission is about 75000 tons and radioactivity is about 0.25 miliseviert no accident occured.

In coal plant 2 where co2 emisson reaches 3.75 million ton and also So2 and other pollutant also increases upto about 150000 tons. radioactivity also increases 0.5 SME healther impairment occured.

in other plant 3 and 4 there is increase in the emission of Co2 and so2 emission and also in radiaoactivity which leads to worker fatalities in plant 3 and fire destruction in plant 4

all 4 coal plant there is also generation of large amount of solid waste is generated which if engluf to local stream and make it polluted.

In also 4 Uranium plant 3 mines were Ok little minor emssion occur in 3 plant.

But in 4th plant where carbon emission is about 210000 tons and radioactivity emission is about 0.01smv and solid waste generated is about 250 tons leads to the catastrophic release leading to radiation sickness, death and environmental contamination
