answer- Flint water crisis is the issue of contamination in the drinking water in the Flint, Michigan, USA. in arpil 2014. its drinking water have problem of that its is lead contaminated and cause various health disease. flint river caused lead from pipes to leach to water supply this lead to increase in the concentration of heavy metal in the drinking water. these element are highly toxic in nature. this contamination can leads to Legionnaires's disease. lead contamination leads to massive public health crisis. after seeing such incident President Barack Obama declared medical emergency in the flint, michigan. the supply pipes has sustained corrosion and lead was leaching to the drinking water. High leads level is harmful to children and pregnant women. it can cause learing abilities , behavioural problems and metal retardation.
according to devroit news. the children in the area of flint has higher blood lead level. Centres for Disease control and prevention report said that childs would have concerning blood lead level - at least 5 microgram lead per decilitre of blood. it was 50 % higher after 2014 switch from Devroit's water system to the flint river. Flint area used this water for 18 months. during this period lead contaminant leach from pipes in homes, businesses and schools becuse water was not treated to control corrosion. ." this crisis was entirely preventable and critically need to eliminate all resources to lead from our children environment."Patrick Breysse the director of CDc's national center for environmental health stated in his statement.
