Renewable resources and energy options are important to our societies. With everything you’ve learned throughout this class, it should be clear to you that something needs to change. We cannot sustain existence if we continue to damage the air we breathe and the ecosystems that replenish the air we breathe.

Fossil fuel rules our present civilization. This are being formed by the decomposition of buried organisms which were existed about millions of years ago, examples includes Coal and Petroleum and Natural gas.
According to an report of Energy Information Administration our present sources of energy are
Petroleum -36%
Coal- 27.4%
Natural Gas- 23%
From the above data it’s clear that our energy demand is totally fulfilled by the fossil fuel. The major problem associated with the use of this type of energy sources is it releases CO2 in the atmosphere which is indeed among one of the green house gas, which help us to increase in the global warming. This global warming have help us to increase the surface temperature and this lead to think for the consideration of the greener fuel alternative in order to reduce our carbon emission in the atmosphere.
The various Alternative energy sources are
1) Hydro Electricity : In this electricity is being generated by the use of kinetic energy of the moving water and it’s does not leaves any type of Carbon residue in the atmosphere. So It’s an very good alternative for thermal power.
2) Nuclear Energy : It's also an very good alternative against the fossil fuel the amount of energy that can be liberated is more than 1000 times as a result we could have save a lot of Coal and not only that we could contribute significantly by not liberating the Carbon content in the atmosphere.
3) Wind Energy : This is an also an good alternative for generating the electricity by the use of wind energy and the propeller-like turbines. Offshore wind can be harness properly by setting up wind farms in the offshore areas where we have an huge potential for greener energy.
4) Solar Energy : This is an free source of energy that is available to us it’s the necessity of the time to develop more this free natural resource by making some goos technological advancement. In this light or the thermal energy that is being used up to generate electricity.
5) Geothermal Energy : This are the naturally occurring in which the earth internal heat is being used up for generation of electricity or the internal earth heat can be used up for heating the building.
6) Biofuel : This can be considered as an best alternative candidate for Petroleum products as this can be extracted from our firm land and we don’t need to relied on the Petroleum as it’s stock is very limited in nature, this fuel can be used to our transportation system.
Yes it’s certain that by next 20 years new technology will be well accepted by American only it’ll be accepted globally specially by developing countries too, this is due to fact the all off us want to make this planet a better place to leave in, well it’ll take some time as whenever there is an changeover in technology it takes some time to be accepted by people as there are three type of people one who accept the technology very quickly others will observe it and they will decide to accept it or not and third type of people who will totally not accept it.
As there will be an change over at technological front it’ll be going to create new opportunities in new sectors and it’ll certainly being going to create new jobs in new fields. Where as shrinking few traditional job sectors.
Overall if we took on this new changeover it’s very good as it’ll support us to protect our environment and not only that it’ll help us to clean it too from those harmful greenhouse gases and it’ll help us to make this earth an better place to leave in for the future generations.
