COPD:- It s defines as a chronic obstructive lung disease chareacterized by chronic obstructon of lung air flow which interferes with normal breathing nad doesnot fully reversible. It is mainly due to chronic bronchitis and emphysema .

PRIORITY TEACHING INTERVENTIONS AND ROLE IN PREVENTING READMISSON:-  

-educating the patient in usage of inhaler and techniques of inhaler.

-providing healoth education and counselling

-providing medications and educating their usage and importance

-smoking cessation counselling

-reffering to pulmonary rehablitation centre.

introducng excercise programme to the patient.

-promotion of COPD self management to the patent regarding specific disease education and medication instructions .

-follow up telephonic care.

The nurse plays a major role than a doctor in interprofessional team and a teaching point which they can contribute to teaching plan.
